Go get it πŸ‘Š

So one thing life has taught me is this: You are the person that makes things happen. No one does it for you, and if you don’t do it… it ain’t going to happen!

I’ve often wondered what separates the really successful people from the pack. We all breathe the same air, we all have the same number of hours in the day, etc… and yeah sure, some people have a head start in life and others are more supported than most, some even get a lucky break, but in the end it almost always boils down to drive, resilience, determination and stamina. Now success can and does mean something different to everyone, but whatever your definition of success is, nobody gives it to you. You have to work it out for yourself, and once you’re clear on what you need to achieve, guess what…? You have to go and achieve it!

So what does success mean to you? Is it a certain amount of money in your bank account? Is it a simple and stress free lifestyle? Or a particular number of holidays a year… or just to be happy and content with yourself and your life? Whatever it is to you is what needs to be figured out, and the only person who can do that is you.

As you go through life, your experiences shape you and help you to determine what’s actually really important and what isn’t. You start to understand what it’s all for… you “get it”! I think some get it sooner than others and I’m sure plenty of people are blissfully going through life with absolutely no intention to ever get it at all, and if they’re happy with that then they’ve probably already achieved their success. It’s whatever makes you happy personally!

As an Entrepreneur the whole “you have to go and achieve it” thing is never more true! Life might be on your own terms, but quite literally you have to go get it. You can either look at it like I’ve got to make all this work!!! or you can think I’ve got an opportunity to change my life πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š!

Now running a business or taking the less conventional route to an income isn’t easy, or everyone would be doing it, but it does ultimately un-restrict your potential. If you can cope with the responsibility, you can make phenomenal things happen. Notice the referral to you?

As a trader it’s all down to you. That’s one of the things I love about it, it’s you vs the market and you can’t hide. Stepping up to the plate and taking control of your own actions is what makes it happen, nothing and no one else.

Work out what it is that makes you most happy, and then decide on how you’re going to build your world around that. If that’s your focus, then whatever you achieve for yourself will be centred on your happiness and contentment, and if you can do that then you really are doing all right πŸ‘Œ.

Success brings motivation as achievement spurs you on so setting regularly achievable goals triggers further determination to move on to the next goal. This is so important when you’re struggling to keep going. When you reach that target you realise that it CAN be done and it’s not so impossible after all. Consistency is so so so important, regular goals are far more easily achieved if you’re always moving forward, even a small step is a step closer! Keep focussed on what you’re trying to achieve and learn to enjoy the whole process. It’s all part of it, it’s what makes it worthwhile.

Let me know what you do in life. I’d love to hear about what makes you happy and what your goals and aspirations are.

Cheers guys,

Al ✌️

  • Great pictures!
I run my own business driving the elderly (I may have mentioned it once or twice – LOL). I’m not really out to make tons of money but I do want to help people. At the moment I am not making enough to save anything and money keeps going out. I may have to get a β€œreal” job. Suggestions?

    • I think your own business sounds more β€œreal” than most jobs out there! Keep going πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š! πŸ‘

  • To be honest, I don’t know what would constitute success in my life. When i thought i had everything i needed to be content, i simultaneously suffered one of the worst bouts of depression in my life. Something wasnt right. I, for some reason, enjoyed the chaos, the hustle, and the failure. It’s like there’s something about blaming bad circumstances that feels oddly satisfying. Maybe I’ll never figure it out. But i do know helping others puts my mind at peace. So i pursue that for the time being.

    • Sounds like the right thing to do. Opportunities come at unexpected times so if you’re doing something that makes you feel good then that’s the best place to be ☺️. If an opportunity does come up then it’ll probably be based around something that’s good for you. All the best πŸ™‚

  • A lot of times you hear people say, “Well, I guess it was just not meant to be.” It’s easy to say and can make us feel better about disappointments and losses. But your post reminded me of this and I wondered if we ought to make sure we’ve done everything possible to make whatever it is BE, before resigning to fate.

    • Absolutely! Keep going and make it happen πŸ‘Œ thanks very much for your comment ✌️

  • At present, I do what I jolly well please, which includes a generous smattering of volunteer work. Giving back as a thank you for my blessings is key for me. I enjoy presiding as a community judge, where I have fantastic times listening to young speech and debate competitors. I’m also a Reminiscence Coach, having cloud walker experiences prompting cool beans people living with dementia.

Once upon a not so distant time ago, I owned 3 separate businesses, finding entrepreneurship an absolutely brilliant learning experience as all were in service to others. Each were different, helped me to single-parent, and learn how much tenacity pays off.

You betcha I’m content with my life. Planning ahead does that for you. It also allows you to pick and choose your next adventure. Yes yes yes more please!!!

    • Wow what a life so far, and by the sounds of it so many more adventures and experiences to come πŸ‘βœŒοΈ. Thanks very much for your comment x

  • Am expecting another post like this I just read. Β You really make my day reading this one.

  • Right now, having people like my posts, which you just did, is a measure of success. An even bigger measure is having someone read one of my books and tell me they enjoyed it.

  • I am a writer and trainer business owner. I am a joyful and happy being who knows that you can climb every obstacle and eliminate your limits! My goal is to connect with amazing action-minded people around the world who penetrate darkness with lights of inspiration (like YOU)!

Excellent post. Beautiful photos. Keep getting it.

  • Personally I feel that we need to put our trust in a power much higher than ourselves. To trust and believe that we can be whatever it is we want to be. Always remembering that the more we give out the more we get back.

To write a poem or an inspirational post, to paint something that touches someone’s soul. To make someone laugh is the greatest gift we can give.

  • This is lovely, Al. I’m a food lover, writer, and prop master for theatre here in the U.S.! Glad you stopped by eve’s apple (mcproco.wordpress.com). Cheers!

  • I really enjoyed this post and the way you write. Success for me is to change for the better. It sounds really interesting what you do and the world needs more people that can make an income from a less β€œnormal” route. What is success to you?

    • Thanks so much! Success to me is life on my terms and b Int able to fit my income streams into my life rather than the other way around πŸ™‚ ✌️

  • Stepping through my fears, the one thing that holds us back, and begin to stand in my truth. From there creating something takes on a whole new world πŸ˜€

  • So many people do not get that there is no such thing as free lunch…. you have to do something about it…. how big the lunch gets its effort x smartness x touch of the universe

  • Thank you very much for liking our blogpost. We at MabsArts, appreciate your support and wish you the very best on all your projects. <3

    • Thanks πŸ‘ and you’re welcome 😊

  • This is so beautiful, spot on , real true and genuine. Thank you.
I am an economist/ research analyst and i love research, but i could relate so much to your post, given i currently began unfolding piece by piece my work towards another bigger passion of mine: it’s like a career mentor, not quite a generic career coach but rather a motivational and self development mentor who can help graduating high school students grow more self aware, decide what to study , where to go next, knowing exactly what career these choices will be offering them.

Working slowly but steadily and what u said hugely helped, especially β€œif it were that easy… everybody do it..” and β€œcontinuously setting new goals …”.

Wow. Im so glad i met u here !! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Ps: thank you for liking my work, and introducing yourself like that 😌.

    • Thanks Joy, best of luck with everything πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

    • Cheers Ralph πŸ‘πŸ‘ Go get it πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š
